Ali’s arrival adds a strong sales focus and completes VPU’s all-Ugandan management team. Mr Balunywa’s strong sales background in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) in Uganda positions VPU to further expand its reach within Uganda, critically, to last-mile customers in rural areas.

Village Power CEO, Thomas Huth, is excited by the strong local management talent and the strength that brings to expanding solar access in Uganda. “Solar, for Uganda, by Ugandans!
